Amy Johnson, Fine Art Photographer, UK

" I believe that art has an extremely important role in changing attitudes and influencing change by evoking an emotive response through artwork. Art is a universal language that can be interpreted by all and exists in every culture. "
Using experimental techniques and alternative processes, the artist has created her own visual language to communicate to a wider audience about the human impact on the natural environment and ecological issues such as plastic pollution and human-inflicted climate change.
The process of creating artwork is really important to this artist, working with her hands to create her outcomes, incapable of leaving an image alone. Challenges herself as an artist to create new artwork by combining different photographic methods, in both the darkrooms and in the digital editing workspace.

Graduated in July 2018 from Solent University with a First Class Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography and was awarded the Rosy Maguire Memorial Prize. Currently working as Fine Art Technician in Kent.
